Research Interests
My areas of interest are maternal-child health, leadership studies, and health
communication. I
combined my research interests to study online messaging as a vehicle for social
support among surrogate mothers. I found that the preconception and conception periods
were times when most support was
needed and the majority of participants (91%) noted satisfaction with the support received
from the
online support group.
